Dr. Dan Brunkhorst is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician with over 15 years of clinical experience. Dr. Brunkhorst, or, Dr. Dan as his patients call him, specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation of patients related to work related injuries, motor vehicle injuries, and sports related injuries. Dr. Dan is co-owner and chief provider of the Swansea, Illinois ESM location.
Dr. Dan is a Southern Illinois native having grown up in Nashville, Il. After graduating from Nashville Community High School, he spent 4 years at Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL. While at Illinois College, Dr. Dan competed for the men’s basketball team for 3 years. An injury at the end of his third year and the resulting rehabilitation laid the ground work for his future in health care. Upon graduating from Illinois College with a Bachelor of Science, he enrolled in Logan College of Chiropractic in the fall of 2000. During his studies at Logan, Dr. Dan became very interested in orthopedics and the rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries. This has resulted in being the primary focus of his clinic. While at Logan, Dr. Dan obtained a second Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology and his Doctorate in Chiropractic. As a senior intern, he was awarded with the Health Center Achievement Award for his contributions during his internship for patient clinic.
With 15 plus years of experience, Dr. Dan is well versed in the complicated health complaints that can come from work related, motor vehicle, and sports injuries. With a great team in his Illinois office, Dr. Dan has been able to help his patient base overcome the multitude of injuries by providing individual care plans for each of his patients. He will tell you that no one patient is alike when your practice focuses on caring for those injured at work, while playing sports, or in a motor vehicle collision. He has continued to build on his education by becoming certified in Kinesio Taping Methods and the latest in soft tissue rehabilitation.
Dr. Dan is married to his high school sweetheart Jaimee. They reside in Columbia, IL with their four children. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Dan enjoys fishing, playing basketball, and watching/coaching his kids in their various sports.
Jackie Lee
Jackie Lee is the Office Manager for Esquire Sports Medicine and works along side Dr. Brunkhorst. Jackie graduated from CALC institute of technology in 2011, since then she has been an office manager in the chiropractic field for over 10 years.
When she is not working and being a wife and busy mom of two, she devotes her time to helping animals and supporting animal rights; she enjoys reading, movies, and spending quality time with her furry friends.
